New Zealand Dingo's / Toro Dingo

Morning all,

As you will se from my profile I work for the New Zealand Distributer for Dingo Mini Diggers, Would welcome your feed back, advise, suggestions about the Toro Dingo. It is my understsnding that the USA product is quite different from out own. So would be interested to hear if any one has used both products and how they compare. Eg Aussie made/ USA MAde.

Also Dingo owners in USA or anywhere for that matter. Any thoughts you may have had about how we could improve.

Also pics of any jobs that you have done would be great. Two reasons really first it gives my clients and idea of what they can do and also helps me to understand what I can say about our limitations.

I may be ble to add something to this.

I worked for 2 different Toro distributors at 2 different times. In between, I was operations manager at a landscpae company.

I went to GIE in 1997 in Charlotte when Toro had purchased the USA rights to Dingo from Roger Braswell, who originally imported it from Australia.

This was one of the best deals both parties ever made. Roger got a big payday, and Toro got a product that with a few additions of design and engineering from Toro's commercial equipment line, is probably one of the best compact skid steers on the market today.

Now with that said, I own a Vermeer S600. But that is because the Toro salesperson did a job of TRYING to sell me a Toro.

If you contact a stateside Toro distributor of the Siteworks System
( formerly Dingo), they could give you a good matrix of the features and benefits as compared to other brands.

The Toro product is a good unit, and I would not hesitate to to buy one if I thought I could get any kind of dealer support, or sales activity. The Vermeer is a great unit, and I would probably go with them again because of their construction back ground, and Toro's slick shoe approach to sales.

I wish I bought a Toro but saved $7000 on the whole package when I went with the Gravely Skidster.
Almost the same machine as the Kanga but now Gravely doesn't make it anymore and all my parts are hard to find. Been without it for 4 months now and will finally have the new valve bank installed next week.
Money wasted on the machine so far trying to find the problem:$3700.00 ( and it still doesn't work ).

I don't know what you will be doing with it, but if its some serious pushing, digging, moving, etc you should take a look at the ditch witch sk650. I cannot believe the power that this guy has.

That being said, the vermeer is an incredible unit and I believe is the best design unit on the market (specifically referring to the s600tx I don't have experience on their wheeled version Dale does though =)). It however lacks a lot of power compared to the DW.

Stay away from Ramrod!

Toro is a nice unit, but I don't like the controls, but seems to be a very popular choice I don't think you could go wrong with.

How about some pictures of the Dingo from down under. We bought a Toro 222 in 1997 (If I remember correcntly - maybe it was '98). Have loved the heck out of it.
