Mini Excavator Boxer bx-10 ?

The boxer bx-10 caught my eye the other night after using a shovel in this heat wave. Just thinking about how a lil machine like that could save me a ton of labor.

Who has some experience with this machine ?

Ok so seems no one has any experience with the boxer machine. The more I shop the more I can justify a larger machine then the boxer.

How big of a machine am I looking at for setting boulders and lifting sod cutters ect out of trucks ? Also seems a grapple bucket would be real nice for loading brush ect.

Paul is on a distinguished road
Start at the 7000 lb machines and stop at the 10,000 lb machines

Forget the grapple bucket and add a thumb.

I used to own a BX-10 it was great for what I was using it for. However I sold it a bought a Ditch Witch XT-850. If you want to see a Nice machine, try it out. You can have your mini ex and a mini skid all in one unit. Try it, you'll like.

The XT-850 has the same attachment plate as the Dingo, Boxer Ramrod, ect so you can use all the same attchments and its a sit down machine, not a walk behind or stand on. It has more lift cap and higher lift with a 25hp Diesel and a track machine.

You swing the seat around like a backhoe and push a button and now you have a mini ex. It does not have a 360 degree turrent swing but the boom has a double swing that will allow you dig right up against a foundation with a 6.5 ' digging depth.

For those people like me that loved his Mini skid, witch I still have, will love it. I also had a small mini ex which meant i had two trucks and trailers going to one job site. Now I can send just one crew and one truck and get all done.

You will loose a little bit of the compact size but for the extra uses its well worth it. I paid about $19,000.00 for my mini skid and $15,000.00 for my mini ex. I got the XT-850 for around $29,000.00, you do the math. It still only wieghs about 4000lbs so my guys still don't need a CDL. This unit is really hard to explain but you can see it at www.ditchwitch.com They now have a XT1600 wich may be replacing my 8500lb mini and 753 Bobcat after I do a little more research

Maybe you should identify yourself as a sales person and approach the members here honestly. We are looking for real world experience not a sales pitch.

My profile clearly states that I am in sales AND a CONTRACTOR who owned, before I sold, and still own, Bobcats, ASV, John Deer, Vermeer, DitchWitch, Toro, Boxer and Case. As a sales person and owner, I have plenty of data that will back up anything I say. Example, I stated that the Vermeer 600 was a bit sluggish, Dale didn't like that. But if understood that Vermeer has one hydrostatic pump for their tracking system and two hydraulic pumps for their lift and auxiliary, he would understand why that unit can be a little slow, I didn't say bad, when trying to multi task. I do however agree with Dale when he stated that any one of these machines would increase profits and reduce work load for any business. Its just when making a powerful decision such as spending up to $40,000.00 plus, its nice to know the facts and not just a sales pitch. If my experience and knowledge can help the next guy, Great, if not, just except it as an opinion, not an attack. I hope you both have a great day.
100% of my opinions are real world experiences, I see things from both sides of the fence.

Did not say I didn't like it. Thats your opinion. I have mine. You stated yours, I stated mine. I have multiple attatchments and have used every piece of equipment made. ( Almost..)

I don't really know if anybody makes a measurement of the hydraulics. Mine has sufficent to plant 1000 trees, dig 60 miles of ditch, move hundreds of yards of materials, and everything we bought the unit for.

I'm really glad that you are satisfied with your machine. Its evident that you see the value of a mini, because you own one. I am a compact utility specialist that have been called upon from many to include, The publication Compact Equipment for answers. I personally would love to see everyone own one. I only got into sales because of my extensive research of the mini before I bought my first one years ago, which was a Dingo, one of the old green ones before Toro was selling them. I have since seen Vermeer, Ditch Witch, Finn, Boxer, Kanga, Ramrod, Thomas, Toro ect evolved the mini to what it is today. I know how these machines helped my business be successful and only hope I can help out the next guy.
