Mini-x maintenance

I just purchased a older/used Kubota KH-35H mini excavator and have a couple of questions

I cannot find a grease nipple on the turntable/swivel - should there be one - I had a good look arround underneath and cannot see anything

The mini-x will be used on a 4-acre site and will have to travel to different locations so I anticipate traveling/dozing as much as digging - I was told to change the transaxel oil frequently if the maching travels a large % of the time - does anyone else do this as part of a regular maintance schedule

Any info helpfull - I have always rented mini-x machine and this time I decided to purchase because the price was right and it will come in handy at this project

Paul is on a distinguished road
As you look at the boom toward the cab on the left side you should have 3 grease fittings these grease the turntable and table bearing gear.

You definitely want to change the transaxle/gearbox oil on a regular bassis. Most manufavturers that I have seen reccommend 1 year or 500 hours. I have swapped to synthetic just to see if it will help with long term durability.

A word of advise, when you pull the plugs, do it outdoors. The oil will most likely be rancid and will scare a skunk out of a garbage heap. Make sure you neverseize the plugs before reinstall as they can be a bear to get out.
