Enclosed Trailer
I just bough an enclosed trailer and I'm debating to the idea of signs on it.
What would you guys do
A nice big sign with a picture, logo, services, and phone number.
Or just the company logo with the phone number on it.?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Im a little partial (see my pics in my first enclosed trailer thread) to just a logo and contact info however I think it depends on what you are after.
Right now Im trying to brand my company so i wanted the emphasis on my name and logo. If you want to drum up more business where your trailer will be parked in one location for extended periods of time then pictures/services/etc may be in order. Its really all in what you want to accomplish I think. Whatever you choose, good luck!

Some where in the archives, I posted a picture of our new trailer.
We had a good graphics job done.
We just had a new logo designed for the new business.

I just bought one too and I plan to go as "Fancy" as I can afford. And while I like my logo it doesn't completely answer the "so , what do you do?" question. I'm thinking that I will list some services on the trailer. The company name even has "Hardscaping" in it, but 90% of the customers start off asking "what is hardscaping". Even the ones who called for a patio quote....

I would do a full-color wrap featuring a photo of your work. Expensive, but you will stand apart from your competition.

At one time I looked into wraping one of my trucks and the sign shop told me it would begin to look unsightly after 3 years I think. While a wrap would look great, I just could not see re-wraping a rig every 3 years.

I haven't done one yet but I've looked into it a bit. Some wraps apparently last longer than others and some are much easier to remove.

I think your answer will largely depend on how you intend to brand your company. I'm interested in simple. We do more with printed materials than we do with our trucks. A magnet on the doors of the trucks and uniformed employees gives us enough recognition and work. I put signs on our trucks more for general name recognition than I do for getting/wanting phone calls from the trucks directly.
I always ask on a first phone call how the prospect heard of us and those that say they saw my truck I figure are about equivalent to those who looked us up in the yellow pages. Those that say they've seen us around over the years I figure are better prospects, and seeing the trucks, crews and talking with a neighbor, etc. I believe yield better results. It's more of a conscious thought/decisin than an impulse to just pick up the phone and call.
The thousands of dollars that you could spend in advertising on a trailer might be bettern spent elsewhere. Further, consider what happens when you get another trailer, are you willing to commit to doing the same to the second trailer? Now that we started buying and painting our trucks blue I can't go with another color, so now I'm generally committed to another $1 to $2 K for each truck we buy since I know we'll be painting it. It's a part of our branding/uniform appearence. Think about the future when you make your choice.

I want to grab people's attention with it.
Our company is getting well know around this area, many people are familiar with it.
But the thing is that most people think all we do is mowing.
some people have told me lately that they didn't know we also do pavers and landscaping.
Until they called unilock and they refer us to them, or one of our suppliers.
I'm very proud of the level of quality we offer, and also want to let people know we are not the cheapest.
Thank to all that took their time and helped me with my decision.
