KubotaB21 or John Deere 110

I have a project to install a stormwater drainage system and need to excavate a drywell pit and channels. Pit size 8x6 depth 6 feet. The B21 would probably do better with the channels but I am concerened with the Pit where the 110 would probably work much better. I would get a better value with the B21 but could use some advice on whether this machine can dig the pit.

All comments or suggestions appreciated

You will get better production with the JD110, and can probably get a larger bucket to change to when excavating for the pit. The 110 has almost the double the horsepower and productivity. Longer reach and more power. The net result is more bucks in your pocket.

The B21 is nice but small.

Your suggestion makes sense. Since I am renting I probably can work much faster with the 110 and depending on my progress it may be more cost effective and easier to rent a trencher for the 4" channels instead. Also, I have some shrubs to remove which I usually yank out with my GMC 3500 Truck. Maybe I could use the 110 to dig them out a bit.

The 110 also takes all standard SS attachments on the front end. Handy for doing other work while its on site.
