Stonehenge is on a distinguished road
FM 2-way radio

Had one of my employees make mention of this today. Sounds like what a Nextel phone might have. I was told these things can have a range of 30 miles (more if you purchase the relay system to bounce/amplify the signal off cellphone towers).

Anybody try these things or have any experience with them?

If they had a 30 mile range, that'd work well for us, but only a few miles would be a waste.

GreenQuest Lawn is an unknown quantity at this point
The Lawn care I worked for for 6 years had them in all their trucks and a base at the shop. We loved them, not only could we quickly talk to the office, they could call us if a customer called with a specific request or complaint while we were still in the field. The crews were required to check in each account they left and where they were headed, this let us keep an eye on them and know exactly where they were. We used this ALOT during the winter. It was kind of nice essentially having 15 guys in the truck with you, we could all hear each other and it made the night go by a little faster. It was always fun hearing the "new guys" on their first night plowing. It was also nice if someone broke down to be able to quickly get help as to him by sending the closest person.

The company ended up buying a frequency instead of just renting one, this eliminated any accidental interferance.

I would say a great addition if you have multiple crews out there.

What are the costs? Here there is no way to get an FM freq. I know Nextel is in your area now Stonehenge, heck I could talk to you on it from here!
