Hayes is in Kansas -- Western KS -- Where I-70 is so straight your car can drive itself. Seriously -- you drive7+ hours wihtout even a curve.

Dang if a Hyundai did that to the bridge I can only imagine what would have happened if the driver was pulling a Caterpillar......

That rebar snapped like guitar strings.
This is a good reminder from my CDL test - the only thing I forgot each time I took the driving test was to check the overpass clearances....

I feel for the owner of that equipment. we had a 6 wheeler traveling down the road, driver did not disengage the PTO. and hit a bridge in palos park. 10 or 12 years back. he is gona need legal help.......and a new insurance company if anyone will take him cause hes gona get dropped like a bad habit

You know what's weird about that picture? I don't see any tie chains and any time an excavator is hauled on a low boy the boom and stick are placed facing backwards folded under with the knuckle almost down on those tri axles.
I'm betting this genious loaded the machine for a short delivery then forgot the stick was as high as it was. The bridge comes along he is jamming out to to music and blammy. I'll bet it ripped the fifth wheel clear off the truck.

Im sure the tractor seporated from the loboy and ill bet that driver bloodied his nose when the steering wheel came flying up in his face
