Are the Bridges all 16'5"?

Found these pix at another website. Supposedly this happened on I-70 near Hayes, wherever that is...

Or maybe this is just the next installment of California's Highway Art program.

Can you imagine coming across the bridge and seeing that happen?

Hayes is in Kansas -- Western KS -- Where I-70 is so straight your car can drive itself. Seriously -- you drive7+ hours wihtout even a curve.

Dang if a Hyundai did that to the bridge I can only imagine what would have happened if the driver was pulling a Caterpillar......

That rebar snapped like guitar strings.

This is a good reminder from my CDL test - the only thing I forgot each time I took the driving test was to check the overpass clearances....

You know what's weird about that picture? I don't see any tie chains and any time an excavator is hauled on a low boy the boom and stick are placed facing backwards folded under with the knuckle almost down on those tri axles.

I'm betting this genious loaded the machine for a short delivery then forgot the stick was as high as it was. The bridge comes along he is jamming out to to music and blammy. I'll bet it ripped the fifth wheel clear off the truck.
