Hamons- what size box is that? 4x6? Did you special order it or adapt an enclosed trailer yourself? Thanks.

Special ordered it - worked with an open trailer dealer and an enclosed trailer dealer and they got it done together.

the open part is about 6 x 8

I don't like tilt deck trailers, unless you know one and only one piece of equipment is going on them. I prefer flat deck, dove tail, that way we load a 301.8, our wheel barrows, and a 257 then we are off the the races. With a tilt deck, it's hard to load anything more than the first machine.

What do you mean by an industry standard container lock?
Yes, the same locks used on trains, ships, & trucks. Like this-

Basically flat & out of the way when stowed, but there when you need them. I would use those at the outside of the trailer.

On the inside corners i would use something like this-
Because the raised area would help in lining up the boxes on the trailer.

Sorry to but in here, but what brand trailer is the one with the dump ox in front synner? Do you have any more info on it? Website, phone number?

Thanks.

I sort of like the idea of a couple of those large job boxes or whatever you want to call them. Could store a lot of your hand tools in them and like was mentioned, move all the tools at once to where you are working. Could also separate the tools out a little as well for hardscaping vs softscaping, etc.

Mark the trailer with the front end side dump is made by Berkelmans Welding in Ontario.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and you'll see some more info on it as well. http://www.intrudertrailers.com/opentandem.htm

Berkelmans Welding builds a lot of the heavy duty dump trailers and truck boxes in this area. They definitely build it right and build it to last.

Thanks for the info. Great looking trailers. I had looked into soemthing similar, but didn't think the trailer looked nearly as well built. Wouldn't be too far of a drive for me to pick one up if I decide to go with one. Crossing the border with it might be a little bit of a PITA, but what's life without some excitement?
