I'd like to welcome to the pages of Ground Trades Xchange the great folks at DesignOutpost.com. This is really a unique way to get a logo created, a website constructed, a corporate identity developed.
I'm certain this experience will be unlike any you've had thus far when it comes to design work.
The premise is simple: You hold a contest for your logo (website, etc.). You name the prize (prize money paid in advance to the site), so you can spend as much or as little as you want, bearing in mind that the more money you offer, the more active the designers will likely be.
You tell them what you want to see (if you have an idea). You give them the deadline. Pretty soon, friendly designers from the USA, UK, Australia and points beyond start posting designs for your contest. You provide feedback and they'll make design adjustments to better capture the look you're after.
When you hit the deadline, or if you've decided before that, just post your winner, and the Administrator will see to it that your design is electronically sent to you, and the prize money is delivered to the winning designer. It's that easy.
This is so fun and yields such great results, that the logo for this site was created there, as was another logo for another website of mine. Heck I even ran a contest for my neighbor who's looking to start a consulting business.
It's easy, it's fun, and you get great results, all for a fraction of the cost of a brick-and-mortar design firm you might hire.
