Harley rake or Preparator

I have rented a harley rake in the past with very good results...

I really like the way I can get a nice grade with this tool and how the rake really loosens up the soil.

It does take me several passes to get the desired results but with a skid steer it's not that long..

The question I have is:

Does the preparator break up old grass and or hard soil like a power rake?

I like the idea of picking up the rocks in one pass but I'm not sure the preparator goes deep enough to really "work" the soil.

I am planning on buying one or the other any advice is welcome.

Thanks

Ralph

Having had and used both extensively, if you only have one tool then go with the Harley. We started with the Preperator because the time lost picking rocks but the Harley will grade faster and clear grass much faster than the Preperator.

Thanks.....

I have been renting a FFC rake....Very nice...

Any manufacturer you suggest...

Also there is a site www.buyattachmentsdirect.com
that makes one...Looks good but not a large company.

Thanks for the advice.

Ralph
