Looks like a typical electician job.

Why is that whenever you call a electrician to do any sort of 'outdoor' work they act as if you are asking them to rewire the empire state building.

All things considered, it is USUALLY the landscape contractor digging all the trenches, installing conduits.......all the electrician has to do is pull some wire.....and yet.....they do nothing but complain, moan, and groan......and get PAID 5 TIMES as much for their work.

it just ticks me off too see stuff like that, because, here we are, LANDSCAPERS, who look at the stuff and know there is something wrong with it, while some electrician gets rediculous amounts of money and just throws wire in.

well, It appears and sounds the homeowner has no clue/no cares at least (and lets face it, THEY saw the guy put it in and obviously lack any common sense to see anything wrong with it), so, you did your part and expressed your concern, so I would just get done, get paid, and not think about it....just watch out for that wire!

Hek, when I install low voltage lighting I put the stuff in conduit in places where I know it might get hit (like bed lines where edging occurs)........I would think a little common sense may tell you to put a 'freaking' pipe around 6 GAUGE wire.......but that seems in short supply these days.
