Echo Carb

I bought an Echo PB 403 T about three weeks ago. It's a good blower but the last week it seems I have to keep adjusting the carburetor every hour of use.

This is very annoying. Maybe it's the vibration causing the knobs to move out of sync? So now I have to keep a small screwdriver in my pocket to make the adjustment.

Is this a common problem or a manufacturing problem?

P Train:

Try shimming the spring if you can find some washers so it will gain more tension. Good old C.A.R.B. requirements strike again, it was not broke, yet they wanted to fix it. Some Echo products have a freeze plug over the screw because they don't want you adjusting the carb. They claim that tiny engine causes 1/10th of the worlds air pollution....gimme a break man!

I have a pb650 that doesn't even have carb adjustments, or atleast I can't find them. Another disadvantage for those of us who get cold weather, the new earth friendly engines stall out if not given adequate warm up time. This is a major disadvantage when you want to blow something off in a hurry.
