Roller Screed

I was surfing around the other night when I came across a roller screed. I've never seen one before but apparently they're used in concrete work. Just wondering if you guys think something like this would be any good in other applications.

That's an awkward looking piece of equipment. At first glance I don't see any use for it in my line of work.

Stonehenge is on a distinguished road
I'm betting it vibrates like some of the vibe screed rails you can buy now. But for what we use screed boards for, we really need something with an edge on it to scrape excess stone from between screed rails. I would think a roller like that would just roll right over any high spots of compacted stone or sand. I would demo one of the 'T' shaped vibe screeds before this one.

Here is a roller screed for sand and pavers.

Peace,

Hey Shane472,

I wouldn't advise this unit for your apps. I probably wouldn't even use this for concrete installations either. It seems too limiting.

I would probably recommend a Screed Pull Pro 1 or 2 that is sold by:

www.pavetech.com

Tell them Tim from Accuscreed referred you.
