Well I FINALLY got going and had the new logo put on the truck. The quote was so cheap I decided to add some grass to it as well. What do you think?
All graphics and logo created with the help of designoutpost.com.
The green is a bit faded in the pics, its darker and stands out much more in real life.

Looks cool - I like the effect of the grass on the skirt of the truck, where you'd normally find mud.
I'm going to get my p/u re-done soon, but the other trucks may have to wait awhile.

Funny you should mention the mud, my wife said I will probably be washing my truck more often now to keep the grass uncovered....lol

This must be the week for truck lettering. We just got one back with the logo from Design Outpost also. I'll try to get a picture of it posted here soon. And yes it has grass on it also.

Looks real good. It makes me want a new truck so I could have lettering too. I don't think lettering would stay put over rust.

That is nice. You definitely will get noticed especially over time. After doing our trucks up two years ago I always get comments almost on a daily basis when meeting with new prospects like "I've noticed your trucks all over." Which makes me want to even surpass what has been done so far....like actual pictures on the tailgate or rear window..

I'm going to see if we can get the signage like Pelican has, with the reflective vinyl - I think that'd make a splash when I'm out on appointments in the evenings.

I have never really liked vinal, and I have to say, yours looks nice. I far prefer paiunted lettering from a sign artist, using real paint. It is richer, and colors are better than vinal...However, since vinal has become popular, a good sign artist is a lost trade just like glaziers, stained glass tradesman and plasterers. We found a guy in Encinitas who does acceptable work for us with the vinal, 18x 24" yard signs $65.00, he is doing the roll off truck and 6 boxes for $600.00. If a sign artist was available, it would cost $1500.00 plus.

Bill, I've had it both ways, vinyl and painted signage. I like some of the effects that can be done with the brush, but economics dictates vinyl. The paint will fade and can scratch fairly easily, vinyl is much more durable. If you sell a vehicle, brushed on lettering is next to impossible to remove without damaging the vehicle paint, vinyl will come off fairly easy with the help of a hair dryer. If the truck has been kept waxed throughout its life, it's almost unnoticeable when the vinyl has been removed.

A tip for removing the paint - oven cleaner. Works pretty well.

Bet you get lots of compliments on that truck. Definitely a 'cut above' most.

I'm impressed! We also get the "Ive seen your "trucks" all over" quote, and for years I ran 1 one ton. Kinda makes you giggle.

Looks good. I find that we get quite a few calls each year (especially for snowplowing) because of our easily recognizable trucks.
