We had our Dingo stolen this summer and demoed a few competitors. We bought a new Ditch Witch SK650 that frankly blows the doors off anything else. It's diesel, the lift height is much better, we can load an F650 dump without the side boards, lift capacity, traction, etc... It runs all my dingo attachments too.

I have the Dingo tx425 and it has around 260 hours on it. In that time I have thrown one track when spreading 3/4 process with it. I was spinning around too much on compacted process when that happened instead of taking 3 point turns. I got the track back on on the jobsite in about 45 minutes...it was more frustrating than an inconveneince.

I have no regrets about the Dingo so far and can say after 260 hours I have had no major problems or regrets.

lasting impress is an unknown quantity at this point
Ive got a New Holland L250 skidsteer (Gas, wish it was Deisel) and love it. We can get into places that larger machines can't. The bucket may be small (42" General purpose) but it beats a wheel barrow. It is also used for digging in larger areas and for moving large bolders. It will load anything our Cat 301.8 excavator. I dont think you can go wrong having a mini skidsteer as your first peice of equipment.
Now her is my delema, I am looking to purchase another skidsteer or Multi Terrain Loader. I am looking at a Cat 257 MTL(used) and a Cat 216, 226 Skidsteers. What is the life expectancy of the boggy and idler wheels? Does anybody have both types that can give me the pros and cons of both, and perhaps which they use the most. I dont want to make the wrong purchase. I know the Multi Terrain Loaders cost more, and the maintenance cost is higher, but do they make money as compared to regular skidsteers. Where we are from, we get a good amount of rain in the spring and in the fall.

We have a Takeuchi TL140. The thing is pretty much bullet proof. CAT & ASV tracks are very expensive to run and maintain. The Tracked skid steers are basically like small bull dozers. You can't stop them, even in muddy conditions, very productive. The regular skid steers are more comfortable to run (operator wise) IMO.
