Just for fun...

I (like many) am always on the lookout to do something better with plans in general. I was just fooling around and thought I'd try something new.

Here's a link to download for yourself:

http://www.djdelten.com/DJ_Chair.zip
http://www.djdelten.com/DJ_Recliner.zip

It's (2) ZIP files that contain Black and White Chairs and Recliners. These are PNG files that already contain a neat transparent shadow.

Here's what you do with them: On a plan you can simply paste them in and they will work fine. You could even use them right in an AutoCAD type file, inserted as an image, but the transparent shadow may suffer.

Sorry for the poor explanation, I'll do a better one later when my website stops fussing with me.....

just wondering . . . do you design with blocks in ACAD and then paste the tiff image over the top of the design in Photoshop. I dont think i would want to paste directly into ACAD, too many benefits of using blocks (rotate, stretch, dim, takeoffs, etc...). i can see the benefits of not having to go through the whole drop shadow process for every item in Photoshop, though. what is your process?

These were actually created in 3DS Max...they have a 'toon shading' or cell shading material. I just created a black and white one and rendererd the model over a flat plane that was set as a 'matte shadow' to catch the shadow.

And yes, I do use blocks in CAD, but normally just for things I have to collect counts of. Using TIFF's in CAD would get to be a really bad idea after just a few were pasted in.

These images are intended more for use in a paint program for if you're fixing up a plan.
