Oasis Design Award

I was just wondering if any of you received an email about the 2008 Oasis Awards. I believe it was sent out by ASLA.

Basically it's a competition to design an outdoor space that includes an outdoor kitchen. Winners are featured in Garden Design Magazine.

Have any of you participated in this competition in the past? What was your experience?

The link is below-

If I wasn't so swamped with proposals and designs, this would be something I'd jump at. Sounds like fun. Maybe I'll have to work on one during next winter to have it ready for next year.

Cool! I've already added it to my project list. Time to buy more coffee.

I'm going to do it. It might be fun and would be some nice exposure.

If some of the designers on here enter the competition we should all post our final designs on here for all to see. What do you think Papercutter?

Any other designers out there that want to participate?

I'm all for it. August 2nd, I'll gladly post my entry! I think it sounds pretty cool. Kalamazoo's stuff is gorgeous, although at their price point I'll never have it at my house. While it's a bit of a time issue, I'm kind of digging the idea of ignoring real-world issues like budget and client taste and just having fun with it.
