Pro landscape drawings (care to share)
I just bought Pro Landscape a month or so ago and to be honest I'm not all the impressed. I would like to see a few drawings of what other folks are coming up with on this program to compare. So if your willing I would love to see some art  |

4Seasons,
If you don't mind my asking, what are you using? We've looked at different types of software for the past couple of years and just really haven't found anything we like. Our software now is "OK". It has some good stuff, but it's nearly impossible to put the client's house in and make it look right. I'd love to be able to do that.

Visual impact imaging-- there's another recent thread going, I think I talked about it more in that one. Their ads say they're the #1 designware. i don't know about that, I like that they are close to me. 50miles or so, but their tech support is always helpful. I'm in the process of importing new plant images that are alot more realistic looking!

Thanks so much for your input! Greatly appreciated. I will look into that. Does it have a wide array of plants/shrubs/perennials/hardscape material? You mentioned importing plant images, can you import the plant images and they come out in 3-D??

Their variety is pretty good, but horticopia's stuff looks better in the designs. that's what i'm importing right now.They have a decent amount of perennials. They come out like the above pics just not so cartoonish. That's what I think most digital imaging looks like. Compared to pro's 2-d plans( what Matt has on a couple of his) it looks more hand drawn. It has nightscaping like the one Matt shows also. One thing I wish Visual has that pro carries is the christmas lighting, because I carry brite ideas. I just dont want to spend another 900 bucks just for that option. I can just download my own.

Nice! I'm just starting to play with Pro Landscape. So far I really like it, the hardscape is a little challenging for me, but the before and after impact is monstrous. Haven't sold a job with it yet, but only did 2 designs. Have one more to do this week that I have high hopes for.

Do Any of you use the cad portion or just the image editor section? I mostly use the Planner ( cad ) portion and was looking to see if others had some tricks to get nice looking plans. Thanks-

I use both. If I have a large area to plant and need to know accurate spacing, I'll put it in the Planner and then bring it into the image editor. You can save the plants from Planner into the greenhouse, but you have to place them again. I use the Planner end for me and the image editor more for the client. It's more work than just one or the other, but makes a nice presentation.
