Growit Gold - any ideas?

I have recently come across a software package called "Growit Gold works", I've had a look at their web site and slide show outlining what it can do - but really not sure if it will perform as well as it looks?!

Has anyone else come across this as an option? and if so ... it is any good?

It can be found at: www.itsoft.com.au

Cheers

I tried it a number of years ago - wasn't real happy with it. I don't really remember the specifics, but I think it was just too limited for what I wanted to do. I use Landworks CAD now, which oddly is also from Australia. More time to learn, but worth it for me.

Thanks for the heads up - given the price (200), I guessed it was probably limited in application. My dilema is knowing it's probably worth spending 1.5 - 2k on something really good - but starting out, it's a large expense when something else might do in that first year or 2 whilst finding your real preference!?

AZTLANLC is on a distinguished road
I really can't see nothing with those tiny pictures of their product, also by looking they used screencam lotus as their tutorial movies that alone gets me suspicious about how much dated that program is I could be wrong tough, I think they have a free trial demo so why not try it before.
I use this software
And I', very happy with it it does so much for only $100 I had design Image Group before for which I paid about $500 and this program is many times better in so many aspects.

After looking at it again, in comparison with other alternatives it does look a bit sus! the poor quality was represented in the free trial - not good.

I have just ordered a copy of L/S Pro 3 though - it was on my list anyway, and seems to get a good wrap from many of you guys, particularly for the small price!

Thanks for the point in the right direction guys!

I am not familiar with that program.
I use LandCad (from Eaglepoint). You can choose which modules you would like to purchase. I purchased Landscape Design and Plant Database. I think the two together were about $700, although I have been using it for many years and don't quite recall.
Here is the interesting part. This program works on top of AutoCad or a similar program. I happened to have AutoCad 14 which I used for years. But lately it was going a little buggy. I think it is because it was just lagging behind newer technology. So...what to do? Spending over 3K for a new AutoCad was not an option for me.
Eaglepoint suggested that I should purchase Bricscad. I tried it out, and believe it or not, it is so similar to AutoCad. And it was around $200 or $250. I know, sounds hard to believe. I'm not from the company, just a hard working Landscape Designer.
Both Eaglepoint and Bricscad will give you trial periods to try it out. If you would ever like to see one of my drawings, just let me know.
