Sculpture for the Landscape and Garden

Hello All,

I am a sculptor residing in New York State, and create a wide range of original figurative sculptures for the home, garden, memorial and architectural site.

Much of my work has a classical theme, and I also offer portrait busts and relief work, historical monuments, animals and more. The sculpture work is not limited to any size; from thirty-three foot long tigers for Comerica Park in Detroit, MI to medallions, coat of arms, ornamentation and restorations. I generally receive commissions for work in bronze, but can produce works in fiberglass, stone and wood.

I have created sculpture and worked in the field for about thirty years and enjoy working with clients and professionals in helping them visualize their dreams and ideas. I also enjoy incorporating my sculpture compositions with water works such as fountains, and into garden settings.

Please have a look at my website. The site exhibits many different projects I have completed in the past years as well as some I am currently working on.

Look forward in speaking with you.

Best regards,

Michael Keropian

I received a message from one of the administrators of this forum and thought I should post this reply, since a number of you may have similar feelings about my post.

My apology if my post above seems like an advertising. Basically it is an introduction and explaination of what I do. What may not be apparent from my original post is my interest in the field of landscape design and how it relates to my field...Sculpture. I understand this forum is a place to discuss and communicate all aspects of landscape design with other professionals in the many fields of design.

In addition to my sculpture work I also do restorations and make molds for duplicating ornamentation, and have some basic knowledge of fountain mechanics. I am always interested in answering any questions regarding the sculpture field. I hope to use this forum as a reference for answers to questions I may have in the future.

Welcome aboard. Nice work!

Adding original Sculpture to landscape designs is something I try to do when I have the chance. I love Sculpture and play at it myself. Many times it totally blows the perceived budget though, or it's one of the first things they cut when budgets get tight.

On the other hand, I've often thought landscapes to be a form of sculpture anyway.
