Need short-term use of auto level

I am looking in my area (Eugene, OR) for an automatic level, tripod and rod to rent, to complete an assignment for my landscape design course on making a level survey. I will decide whether to purchase one of my own at a later time, depending on how often I think I will need one for my own design purposes.

Suggestions on where to locate something like this on these terms?

Thoughts on designers doing their own level surveys? Do many of you do this?

We bought our last one on E Bay.

Great deal. We have a couple of them, and getting them a bit cheaper than retail was good.

Almost any good rental shop should have what you want. Look for ones that serve the construction trade rather than homeowners.

Go to Bullfrog's in Springfield, they can take care of you.

As far as doing the level work yourself, it all depends on how you value your tiime and your skill level. You can always hire a surveyor, of which there are plenty to do construction surveys.
