Some recent autoCAD work for those interested....

Here are some construction and concept drawings. The first OD kitchen construction drawing was done in about 3-4 hours. The next plan drawing took about 6 hours, considering also, this is the second draft. I actually drew two different versions of this plan today.

AutoCAD IMO is fast and great for turning out consistent "revisionable" plans, but I get pretty bored with it too. I think it takes a while to get used to designing in acad, and being able to keep a sense of the site and scale while drawing in model space.

kitchen construction (basic) from paper space. The previous was from model space, where you draw.

That's nice stuff Nick - one quick note - with the built-in I just constructed I located the LP tank in a spot that was isolated from the grill, for fear of there being a problem (thought I read somewhere to do that as well). So I'm wondering if you might want to consider that as well.

stone,

...All I know is what I've picked up from the company I'm currently working for and they have been building them as shown, but they have also built several with gas lines run from the house...if thats any consolation.

Heres some more acad stuff...played with gradient hatching the other day. Took about 2 hours first time.
