knot garden

Well its back to work for me now , I have a business meeting tomorrow with the city where we have are going to land a contract with them for the next 3 years for maintain the cities many properties but they also want a new garden to be designed as well . They built a new baseball park for the kids sports program and they want a very different type of garden they want a knot garden . Here the problem i have never built one but i do know some about them .

My questions are has anyone ever done one before ? if so is it hard to do ? I have other questions for the border of each section in the knot is a Boxwood hedge a good choice ? Does anyone know of any good website where i can look at designs of other knot gardens ? In the center point of the knot should it be a planting area or should it be something to make the center point stand out ?

I now wish i was a designer since i have many design type projects sitting on me desk , that is why i am going back to college and taking a landscape design and build course from my local community college over the winter . I hope you can help me with my knot garden problems to maybe i can win the city over even more than i already have .

Yeah cool site.........

Now I just have to find large enough props and bang the owner over the head to install such a garden.

Dont forget that you have to have an owner with an unlimited budget

I Looked at doing one of these for A masonic lodge in town and the cost were going to be HIGH even with me giving FREE labor.
