Maybe you boys are selling higher dollar landscapes than I am. Fly-through 3D or whatever seems like something you'd reserve for the million dollar project that paid a $15k design fee and they struggle with visualization. For our little $10-50k projects our clients get a hand drawing and me waving my arms around to describe it.

That use to be the norm not anymore believe me more and more people request this, I charge anywhere from 400 to 2000 for a design depending on size, it also helps me upsell waterfalls, lighting, ponds, etc. once they see how much amazing their project would look people tend to have the extra 10k or more than originally were planning to spend.

I'm using the same program as AZTLANTIC, but rarely take the time to utilize the 3-D part of it.

Projects range from $5K- 250K. We like the variety

Do you use many of the bells and whistles on $5k projects? Maybe I'm getting lazy but I don't like doing much drawing at all for $5k anymore.

And I'd LOVE $250k projects! Either those don't exist in my market or somehow we aren't marketing properly to that audience.

No, I don't use the bells & whistles on any size project. Just the drafting capabilities. It's a relatively low cost, easy to learn program...totally worth it.

They've been an aberration, I'm sure...

Anna, would you mind showing me a typical design and how much time it took you to create it?
