Is it worth?
hi all ,
My friend and I were talking last night and we came up with the idea for the big clients we work.
For the job over $150.000 - $200.000,while we are working in their house we thought we could offer them a rental house as good as theirs to stay.
how does it sounds?
any idea?

If its cost effective it would be one hell of a selling point.

I would expect that if someone is spending 200k on a renovation, he would be much more comfortable deciding where he would want to stay and really not want to rely on his landscaper to find him a rental. It does not sound very appealing to me, anyway.

Working IN their house? Are you a construction business?

Yea, what kind of landscaping is going to force your client into another house?
I've got an idea I'm going to pitch to my clients...When I'm doing a project that will take 1 - 2 months, I want to stay at their house and save my gas. Wife and kids can visit up to 8:00 p.m

we are doing complete landscape design and installation.
And this is just an idea I have, so I am also not sure if it works or not,
what I want is to get some feedbacks.
and I don't think that someone who spends $200.000 on a renovation won't want a rental house , I think that will sound like a vacation to them and the house we rent for them will be as comfortable as theirs.
It can't be cost effective but I think it is worth to try.

I can't understand WHY your client would have to give up the comfort of his own home because you are doing some landscaping. Some of our projects take a couple of months and I never inconvenienced our clients living quarters.
Plus, if someone is going to spend $150,000 - $200,000 for landscaping, odds are that their house is going to be close to 7 figures. Are you going to come out of pocket thousands of dollars a month for a rental house? Are you going to help move your customer also? Does he get cable or just an antennae?
To me, that idea sounds like it was conceived late at night through mind altering substances.
