I met with a client last week who had several questions that she asked all of the contractors and one was "Are you a member of Angie's List?".
This was the very first time a potential client has asked me that.
I told her I didn't need Angie's List, I've got enough satisfied referrals in her area.

? If that was an issue for her, why wouldn't she just check on Angie's List beforehand?

There is a huge difference between Craig's List and Angie's List.
Craig's List is a place where people/companies offer their services/goods to buyers.
Angie's List is the place where consumers make reports of their experiences with various contractors/tradesmen.
