your thoughts on a potential logo
These are some logos i've been playing with. i have a high % of seasonal homeowners and I want something that will be easy on the eyes and something easy to remember. I will be putting this on my trucks, site signs, newspaper ads, etc. the PG in a circle I feel is easy and will make a quick impression, but the other ones are a little classier. What do you guys think?

I'd like to see #3 with the letters of #2(easy to read) just the letter not the yellow for some reason it looks like a medication logo #2

I personally like #3. It's classier. However, I would put some color behind the letters so they stand out better. It wouldn't need to be bright, just a contrast for the letters. Visualize it zooming by at 45 mph.

It makes me wonder if it is a nursery, a maintenance company, a botanic garden, or a contractor. Maybe it needs something to get the message across.

I agree with others that a combination of #2 and #3 would be best. I personally can't stand seeing a logo on a vehicle, then having no idea what it stands for let alone what the company is in the business of. Some people might think it will lead potential clients to look them up further, but I just try to forget about them. It does not draw me in, but rather dissuades me.
I especially agree with AGLA about a sub-heading that summarizes your services. Mine simply reads "Complete Landscaping and Excavating." (Feel free to critique that, anyone!) I do not do maintenance, nor do I wish to do so, so I want people to know that I specifically do landscapes and excavations only.

I also think that a blend of the two would be better. Also, the oval has a better size in #2 with more of the green square showing. It needs to be shifted slightly right.
The other thing that needs attention is the typography of the bottom two lines of type.
The letters are a bit uneven. I know that it is a minor detail but it will be all too obvious if you put it on the side of a truck.

Thanks guys and gals. The letters on the bottom are supposed to be uneven its the type of font. I will try to rework the logos and let you see them. I will have a list of services we render on the sides of the truck so that will not be a problem.

I agree with AZTLANLC, while the font in number three is fancier, it is more difficult to read, especially if the truck is in motion. I'd also put a line in about the type of work you do as has been suggested.
