Tore up contract.

This afternoon I had a signed contract in one hand and a cash deposit in the other. It wasn't a big contract only a days work, but it was a very satisfying one. You see, it was a repair job on a street that I have done several nice jobs on. I had prepared a plan and proposal for this fellow to do his front landscaping about 3 years ago. He shopped it and had my $11,ooo plan done for $9,ooo. I got the call to come and repair the mess that resulted this week. Needless to say that put a big smile on my face. The repair bill would nearly exceed the savings he enjoyed by going with the other contractor. I felt 10 feet tall.

Anywho....... We got to talking and the contract was torn up. I kept the deposit. It is going to be applied to the design fee for the project we will be undertaking. The complete renovation of his front landscaping with a budget 10 times that of the torn up contract.

No real point to this... Just tooting my own horn. Now I feel 11 feet tall.

Thank you Lanelle. This one is a real ego booster. I can hardly get my hat on.

Blair,

Way to go!!!!!!!!!! The man realized he had made a mistake by not hiring you from the-get-go. Now he is correcting his mistake. You planted a seed with him. Now its time to reap in the rewards. I am always thrilled to hear stories such as these.

Peace,

Rex

That is pretty cool. On these kinds of days, I've found that butter on the sides of my head help it to better slide through doorways.

from the title I was thinking this was going to be a horror story.
