I decided I'd like to start offering lighting installations as a service so I went to a Cast seminar a few weeks ago. I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the fixtures and the way they make their transformers.

Aside from LandArts is there anyone else who has used Cast?

We've been showing off cast at home and garden shows we do every year.....but most people don't even notice the landscape lighting.

I have a whole demo/sales kit and the fixtures are quite beefy. They are some heavy fixtures look really impressive too.

Haven't installed any thus far, hopefully that will change in the near future.

The guy who did the Cast seminar said a few things that struck me as really good sales points.

1.If your landscape isn't lit you can only see it from inside the house during the day but with lighting you can have a beautiful view of your yard at night too. If you are spending (insert number here) dollars on your landscape it's worth spending another (insert number here) to get that much more enjoyment out of it.

2.When it's dark out and the lights are on in your house people can see in but you can't see out. If your yard is lit you can see out and they can't see in. I'm in Brooklyn so it's easy to sell the safety angle - maybe not so much in other areas though.

Has anyone ever used Evening Star Lighting products? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ive used them once and liked their product. Well made for sure. They may be a bit more work to install in pillars or walls since they stick out about an inch and a bit. Nothing major just some fine cutting to set them back a bit. I like integral personally, they fit nice and very clean looking.
