John:

If you ever need a trailer rewire, I got a system that once you drop the $110.00 on parts, unless someone really abuses your trailer, the only thing you will ever do is replace bulbs. No more connectors corroding, no more wires falling apart. Just install it and work.

I'm thinking that such a kit might put some mechanics on 'part-time' status. Where do we find it?

Bill I think we all would be interested. This is the weak link in the truck trailers and causes us to cross our fingers everytime with DOT. Might be working when we leave the shop but no telling beyond that. It is frustrating.

Wow - this was surprisingly hard to find: http://www.in-lite.com/pages/integrated.asp

And I just tried to send them an email, but it was returned....good luck finding these things. This outfit is in London, ON, Canada. Maybe Dan D or Digin has some info, like a phone #?

Almost 100% an add on item to the job, no stand alone sales.

$125 per fixture
$1 per foot of cable
$1 per watt of transformer (600 watt = $600)

Found a few online suppliers I am happy with.

http://secure.fdlight.com/contact.asp

Many more choices, I use a lot of solid brass and copper. Register for contractor pricing. The $10 hooded uplight can't be beat...same as the vista brand.

I am thinking of getting into the landscape lighting business as weel. I have also found Cast lighting as a product to sell. Has anyone had luck with these products? Will a demo kit really help? I am a electrical contractor and so many electricians just install huge ugly flood lights. I see a better option. Any ideas or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Right now i mainly use Unique Lighting systems but am looking at other companies just for the added selection of specialty fixtures. I actually used some of the upscale Home Depot lighting on a job not long ago and turned out very nice...............

I've installed Vista and Cast and IMO Cast is vastly superior.

I've heard both good and bad concerning the kits-from the company I purchase all my lights from(www.cascadelighting.com) you really have to ask yourself if you want to be showing a job 8-10 at night in the summer. to me I would rather be at home with my family.

California Landscape Lighting is a very good distributor. I also like Terradek and Longhorn irrigation supply. These guys carry most of the high quality manufacturers.
