low voltage light control.....asap!

Ok, doing a landscape show in the next 2 weeks and I want to add a big pop to it with landscape lighting.

I really want to light it up, and to do so, I want to try a programmable control to the system that I can program to set the lights off in different pattern, times, sequences, etc, and maybe even have them flash too music.

I have a load of sources for doing christmas lights, and can get a complete system ready to go, but don't know if it will work for low voltage.

I can't find a low voltage output system. With all the systems I'm finding, the box has AC outs, meant for bascially plugging christmas lights into.

I may just end up using AC lights for my display, but want to see if anything exists to do it with low voltage current.

In theory, I could plug transformes into the outputts of the controllers, but that would bascially require a transformer for each run. I want to have one big transformer feed into the box, and then have it go out from there to the indivdual zones/fixtures.

I'm excited to get this to work, so any feedback appreciated.

steve

X10 controls can handle a good portion of what you want to do. Just do a google search for X10

I believe that the contoller that you are using is nothing more than a sequencer/switch. That being said, if you put 12v on the primary side and on the secondary, you should be good to go.

Here's the link to what I want to use and do:

http://www.lightorama.com/

As you can see, the output of the control module is AC. Wouldn't I have to have a transformer at each output, and would a transformer react fast enough (turn on, turn the lights on, etc.) first of all, and second of all, I would no be able to get a dimming effect, as module can dim the lights as programmed, which won't work at the transformer.

This will not work for low voltage lighting. If you are going to make a display, use line voltage fixtures. A lot of the professional low voltage fixtures are availible in line voltage as well. You can use these for your display.

greensmith....check out that website site I posted. they have demo videos of their products and some of them put the one you posted to shame. Really cool stuff!

Ok, well, I've got a game plan for my booth, and will be getting on it tomorrow. I'm getting pressed for time, so I don't know if I'm gonna get the super light show off the ground or not. I may swithch to high voltage, but don't know yet. I hate this show and never did it before because the timing is so horrible.....right in the middle of the season. Between set up, 10 days of babysitting, and then tear down, a lot of billable hours going out the window. I'm hoping it pays off, and would really like the lights in there for a wow effect. I just know that if I don't do it, someone else will in the next few years and I will be kicking myself.
