Too much pitch for patio?

Just looking for a little guidance on the correct pitch for a patio...

Over a 19' patio my pitch is just about 4" total... (1/8" pitch/ft would require 2 3/8", 1/4"/ft would be 4 3/4"), so I figured I was right in between. Now that I look at it the patio does "feel" and "look" like it is sloped too much...

I'd appreciate some thoughts from the forum... will this be a nuisance or is it something I'll get used to? Any advice from folks who have experience with this or can reference their own patios would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Dan

We tend to stay closer to 1/8" per foot, but you're right in the ballpark.

I usually stay between 1/8" and 1/10" per foot depending on the material. 4" sounds like a bit much, but is it REALLY worth it to re-lay it? probably not.

I usually grade at 2" over 8' so I would say you are right on for good drainage
