Cutting fire pit coping....

Finishing up a 20 x 20 patio with a fire pit in the center. Fire pit is constructed of Unilock Olde Quarry Wall Stone, used small (9*6*9) and medium (12*9*9) units, the inside diamter is approximately 42", outside diameter is approximately 60". I am about to install the coping, again Olde Quarry coping units measuring 12*9*12, and am concerned about cutting them all proportionally to allow for a inch and a half over hang on the inside and outside, what's the best way to go about this, how much should I cut off each coping unit, is there an easy way to calculate/figure this out?

Thanks again for the help,
Doug

There is, but it's nearly impossible for me to explain it in text. As an overview, you'll want to lay a few stones on the pit as though you're prepping to cut them - snug them as close to each other as you can. Mark lines on touching sides of the two pieces of block so that if you cut on those lines, you're cutting off roughly equal amounts on both pieces.
