setting pavers against Cultured Stone wall

Hello all,

I'm doing a DIY patio paver installation. Things are going OK, but one side of the patio will have my pavers meeting my house which has a Cultured Stone wall (cast concrete faux stone veneer.) The bottom course on the stone veneer wall starts just below the top of the pavers, and there is a gap under the stone veneer.

I would have preferred to set the pavers against the foundation, but I couldn't set the pavers any lower because this patio will be surrounded by concrete sidewalk and driveway which is mostly at a higher elevation, and I have to counter the natural slope which is towards the house.

So as the pictures show I have paver tops meeting the stone veneer bottoms. I will need to fill the gap under the stone veneer, so my question is - what material should I fill it with?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Steve

You could cut pieces of expansion joint, or use joint/polymeric sand.

Thanks for the response, and for hosting this forum.

If I use polymeric sand, is there a maximum width I should work within?

If I use expansion joint, is this the same material that goes between concrete pours?

For where the poly is going, I wouldn't worry about width. It's not going to see much traffic or weathering.

Re: expansion joint - that's the stuff.
