Finished the patio

Thanks for answering the couple questions I had on here. I figured I'd post a few pictures of the finished project. Not perfect, but all right for my first time. The wall around the side got a little wobble in it that I decided to let be. The egress window well will get some sort of nice aluminum grate that will easily flip up.

Very nice. The "planters and plate tamper" decorating theme is a nice touch

Nice job. You have nothing to be ashamed of with this job. Is that egress window a sewer tile cut in half?

Thanks for the compliments.

Haha... The plate compactor is getting returned today. The funny thing about the flower pots is the wife was getting them up before I was finished with the sand. I had to sweep some potting soil out of the way a few times.

The egress is something that came with the house. It is a precast exposed aggregate unit with ladder rungs built in (you can kind of see them in the picture). It has bolt flanges on the outside to attach to the house. I could take some closer pics of it if you like.

Hoosier is an unknown quantity at this point
I've been limited to just a few paver projects.

The raised patio's and steps: Are they filled with all base material to the top?

Yes, 5/8"- plus some busted and cut blocks in the upper stair's bottom. Gotta be sure to lay any large pieces like that in a way that the grave will easily fill around it. And be sure to compact often.

Correction... they are filled with the gravel and a one inch layer of clean screened sand for the bedding.
