Brick bullmose pool coping replacement

Hi,
I am replacing the brick bullnose coping on my inground gunite pool. I have already removed the old cracked coping and also removed the old mortar that held it to the pool bond beam.

My question is - what should I use to mortar in the new coping bricks? Type S mortar or Thinset for tile work? Also, once the bricks are mortared in - do people usually go back and put colored grout in between the bricks - or do you just add the coloring to the mortar mix and use the mortar for the grouting?

Thanks

Jim Lynch - Maryland

Stonehenge is on a distinguished road
I would think you'd mortar the bullnose pavers in using a colored Type M mortar. Your local supplier should have a sample set showing all the colors of premixed mortar available.

Thanks for the info Stonehenge. Looks like I won't need to do any grouting if I use the colored mortar mix - and then just tool the joints when motar has set up some.
