questn Landscape Lighting Fixtures

Wondering about what type of fixture to use to highlight the stone foundation on my house. From looking at the fixtures available, I thought I would want a wall washer. But the lighting firm who came out to bid on the job proposed using inground lights. Can anyone tell me the difference between the effect I would get from each type of light in that application? My foundation is about 4-1/2 ft high from ground level at the highest point.

I would use well lights, or inground on that application myself. The difference is that the light on a well light is a broader more diffused band rather than the spot lighted effect an above ground light would create. This comes largely from the way it mounts, on the earth or driveway surface, rather than stuck into the dirt, above grade, pointing at the home.
