mortar

Is there a formula for figuring how much mortar you need for a job.
irregular flag with minus 3/4" joints. 440ft2 job.

don't have any more bags here, but when I just went to mortar the bluestone stoop, when trying to figure out how much I needed, it did have a very basic formula for coverage on the bag. It uses bricks, but you can figure it out from there. At least this gives you a rough idea.
