Survey says...?

I am a graphic designer and I'm considering a side business of garden accessories such as concrete edgers, stepping stones, etc. When doing my own garden, I found it very hard to find high-quality edgers that would last a lifetime (or at least longer than iron edgers I got from Smith and Hawken.) I've been experimenting with concrete designs and stains and think it might be a good niche market. I'd prefer to build my business through local landscape designers, rather than sell these items on the web or at retail outlets.

Survey questions:
Do you, as landscape designers, ever deal with local artisans for this type of thing or is my idea totally unreasonable?

How much would you pay for a detailed concrete edger (15"x8") with a stain and sealer on it?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

By edger, are you referring to a curb stone? 15x8xwhat?

My initial inclination is to say no- but I'm willing to keep an open mind if you have a picture.

Yeah, it's usually something we wouldn't mess with. But showing a pic would be helpful.

GLAN is an unknown quantity at this point
When you say concrete edging......I am thinking either the concrete curbing or the infamous red scalloped edging blocks.

I've seen people put in the 12"x12" patio blocks verticaly....Belgian blocks.....all sorts of things.

I hate them........

Any edging that we do is the black plastic.........if we are using any kind of stone or rock, it is for the intention to elevate the bed.
