Pool Grotto

Although we didn't actually build the structure, we did the design for this entire yard and took care of the irrigation, planting & lighting around the grotto.

It was a fun project but I'm glad that we can now get busy on something different.

This is one I did a few years ago... Assembly was a little precarious, I wish we had built it before the pool went in. Has lights and speakers in it and fogers on the top (but only really works on calm nights). Used about 25 tons of stone... and it looks pretty good now that the planting and vines behind it have grown in.

Last year we wen't back to change some bulbs in the lighting system and I did a backflip off the top of it... about 9' above the waters surface.

It got me thinking of a hot-tub like grotto that would hold water in it but still resemble a cave... need to find the right customer with the right budget!

Pool is a 20x40 miami and has a 1hp pump. The water fall has a 1hp and a 3/4hp that are on remote and feed different parts of the feature... but with everything turned on, it's rediculously loud...
