grading a driveway

I have a few driveways to interlock in my present and near future and I was wondering if there are any time saving tips anyone has. Does anyone put a crown to the shape of the slope or is it a straight slope from garage floor to curb.

If you have the proper pitch, I wouldn't crown it.

Crowns are for Kings and Teeth

I agree with Fine Edge. A crown is just going to complicate things. Two things to think about which has helped us in the past. Consider pouring a concrete slab for 2-3' outside of the garage. Over the years this area takes a beating and winds up developing ruts. The slab has helped prevent this. Also, think about having an asphalt driveway company do the rip out and prep. They can do it much faster and get your base closer with their equipment.

Just some thoughts.
