Travertine pavers around Pool

Hello, i'm going to install some travertine pavers arrond my pool.

Do i need to put any crushed material before sand? my yard is all white sand please see the picture attached and tell me the steps to follow.

I'm not sure what part of the country you're in, guessing Fla., but a dry set travertine installation would be done the same as any other paver install.
Based on the pic, you will need to address the compaction issue for sure. If it was me, I would use another base besides all that white sand.

Thanks for your reply Fine Edge.

Yes I'm in Hollywood, Fl and according to my soil campation test before poring the concrete on the pool the just sais that I need to put a lot of water on the sand and then jus step in to it, please let me know if that make sense to you.

That doesn't make any sense to me, to be honest with you. Who told you this or where did you get this info?
I've never done any hardscapes in Fla., but I feel that others here might tell you the same thing. I could be way off base but I haven't heard of anyone using just sand to reach proper compaction around a pool.

Hi,
You should really get the specs from the travertine paver manufacturer. They are very detailed as to how they should be installed. Then you won't have any future problems.
