I just don't know why people can't call something by what it is. First time I heard it referred to as limestone. We always just called it armourstone. Course, I'm from New Brunswick also, maybe we just like to keep things simple around here.

Calling it Amourstone is like calling facial tissue Kleenex or a Case skid steer a Bobcat. What it is is limestone, you can look that up in any geological book and find limestone, but I'm pretty sure it's unlikely you will see armourstone. When dealing with an international audience (such as this forum), it is best to use the common name versus a regional or name brand. That's why I say keep things simple, use it's common name.

I agree with David C, unfortunately....
Wish there was a better way to define stone. Seems like type of stone (i.e. sandstone, granite) along with color and place of origin help but still not going to be totally clear to people in a different part of the world.
