Paverart are pavers that are dyed to make a design, emblem, team logo, etc.. to fit into a patio (if I understand it correctly)

Anyone use this or more to the point, install anything like this for a client?

I ask because i found the perfect fit for this type of situation, have a client with very deep pockets (commercial) who is very interested, and the only information I really have is stuff I read on a pamphlet at the ICPI training.

I don't know the cost, the wait for the product, the specs, anything.

I learned to be a lot more careful with paver specs after the last job we did because I didn't read the information and thought the stupid faux cobblestones were thin and were to fit in the plastic edge. doh! Didn't realize they were to be used AS the edge and shoulda been mortared in. So I cut each one of them in half so they could sit inside the edge resatraint. Lost money on the labor.

So, please educate me if you have any experience with this.

I have seen some from cambridge or techo I believe, but if you want to make a specific logo you can also engrave the stones, engraving is about $60 for a 12 x 12 piece or $20 for a 8x4.

Paver Art is actually pavers that are cut to shape using a water jet. They have stock shapes and can do custom work as well.

It's expensive, but supposed to be easy to install. I know SCL has some experience with them.

I looked into this recently for a client. The harley davidson logo is roughly 3' x 4' and costs just under $3000.00. You tell them which paver you'll be using and they make all the intricate cuts for you. It arrives on a pallet as a rectangle with a metal band around it. You just have to transfer the pieces like a puzzle.

Jeff's right, I've done 3 of them. One custom name logo, one flying eagle, and one compass rose. Mike at Paverart is a good guy, help you any way he can. Prices vary quite a bit, but the eagle and the custom were around $1200.00 plus a couple hundrd for shipping. Worst part is cutting pavers around them.
