Very interesting. I would really like to see the real thing.

I kind of wonder about the grid and the purpose. Is it because the brick is such a light weight that it needs to be locked in place?

I like the idea of using it on top of a wood deck, as I've kind of had that idea presented to me from a few clients.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about on top of a wood deck. I imagine the grids can be easily screwed down using deck screws. Though any type of joint sand would be difficult to contain...
