3.125" pavers

We have a job coming up that I need to re-price with techo-bloc olympia pavers (similar to belgard mega bergerac). They are 3/4" thicker than typical pavers and larger in width also. They are a 3 piece with the smallest unit at 4.7" x 9.4", the largest 9.4 x 14.1". I'm having a hard time estimating the extra amount of time needed to lay these. Anybody have experience with these?

We use a fair amount of Belgard MB. Labor to lay will be pretty comparable if you can get the pallets real close to the laying face. If not, I would budget 10% more labor. Also, you will have around 20% waste factor. But, they may vary due to the layout/design. Also, you will have more trucking/freight because the trucks can not haul as many sf due to the the extra 20MM. More polymeric sand, too.

Peace,

Rex

That is the reason I like reading from Rex he pretty much has seen it all.
The 9 x 14 is the one that gets me down on time more than the others maybe 20% longer to carry and install.
If you have to do a serpentine walk or curve patio I'd suggest getting a megaber circle kit and use those to make the curves it saves lot's of time on cutting.
