Tsurumi waterfall pumps and wetwells

I'm bidding on adding a waterfall to an existing pond that 100x100 3 -4 ft deep. What type of large and effiecent pumps are your guys using? It looks like Tsurumi pumps are a good choice but I have no experience with them. Instead of buying Aquascapes snorkel and centipede I'm going to use a 14'' drain pipe. How has everyone been modifying them?

Just drill a bunch of 3/4" or 1" holes in the ribs. I drilled 4 rows on 90* angles on pondless. Start at one end and put a hole in the first rib, then just roll the pipe 90* and put a hole in the next rib. Work your way to the other end You'll have plenty of flow if some of the holes get blocked up.

Tsurumi pumps are workhorses. I don't think you'd go wrong using one in that application.

Keith - I saved tons of cash building my own snorkel system for a larger waterfall project. Easy to make. I haven't been wowed or really disappointed with any of the pumps I've used so far, so I'm not sure I can give you a strong reaction either way on that one.

We just put in a Tsurumi 4PN pump on a pond/waterfall and it's great. Seems like it's very well built.
