Water Feature?

I have a client who I've done quite a bit of work for who is interested in a water feature. I built a patio last season for them and this year they want to put a pondless waterfall on the slope that goes down to the patio from the patio at the upper level.

The lower patio is at the basement floor level on the gable end, the upper patio is at the first floor level in the back yard. I built a sidewalk with steps going down to the lower level from the top, along with a 4' retaining wall on that side. The waterfall will be part of a garden that will be on the outside of the steps.

My question is if there is a place to learn about this type of feature, or a company that specializes in the supplies needed to build one? Can anyone give me some tips on things to be careful of?

Thanks!

Check these guys out, I have used there systems in the past and they have great kits that you can purchase. We build our own kits now, but this is what we started with. They have some great info on the site. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much Matt! I don't see any mention of the rock, do you know if that must be found locally?

Pelican, I work closely with a local guy who does a lot of consulting work for company's just like yourself. He shows up to help with the project but does most of the technical stuff. You/your guys do the prep and muscle work. He does really nice work. He's not interested in anything but pond install work so there isn't any competition from him after the fact. After you do a few of them with him you will be able to construct a quality water feature on your own. I would also be interested in sub-contracting it if you're looking for offers there.

Here's a shot of one I built at my home from the winter with some snow.
