High-end work to me is when I am dealing with a customer who:
1) Has at least a general idea of what he wants because he has thought things through (this tells me that he has a genuine interest in having the work done)
2) Doesn't have an unrealistic notion of what it is going to cost to accomplish what he wants
3) Has enough money to accomplish what he wants without having to substitute cheaper materials to reduce the original price, break up the job into small phases, strip down the original design, etc.
4) Values things like quality, creativity, reputation, and service over low price
