Bluestone walkway withgrass between each peice..

I am pricing out a job that has a 20x10 foot walkway/patio in it. I am looking to do it out of bluestone and have grass between each joint.

I figured i'd do the typical 6 inch base, 1 inch of concrete sand and then install the blue stone with about 4 inches between each peice. Then i'd scape out the sand between each peice and install top soil and seed.

Is this the right way to do it, or am i off base on this one?

Matt

If it is not irrigated one inch of topsoil may leave you with cooked grass when it gets hot.

It irrigated.

If i am using 2 inch blue stone, and then remove the 1 inch of sand, i will have 3 inches of top soil then. I could alway use 2 inches of sand and have 4 inch of top.
